CollectiveSpend is hiring a Strategy & Planning Specialist – Procurement for a project-based, full-time on-site position with our client in Abu Dhabi. This project is expected to last for a duration of 2 years. In this role, you will support procurement leadership by providing strategic planning and decision-making support across the Procurement Department. The role focuses on developing, updating, and monitoring consolidated procurement strategies, annual procurement plans, and risk mitigation frameworks that align with both organizational objectives and national initiatives such as In-Country Value (ICV) and sustainability mandates.
You will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and affiliated entities to enhance procurement governance, guide data-driven decisions, and promote business continuity and resilience through proactive planning.
Functional Responsibilities

Participate in the development and continuous updating of the consolidated procurement strategy in cooperation with all stakeholders across DMT and its affiliates

Support the design and implementation of In-Country Value (ICV), sustainability, and governance frameworks across the department, while educating internal teams on their relevance and application

Assist with the execution of the Annual Procurement Planning (APP) process in coordination with end users and the Finance Department

Prepare and update the procurement plan for DMT and its affiliates, based on analytical studies of supply and demand from respective departments

Provide technical advisory to senior management during emergencies, ensuring preparedness, agile response, and business continuity planning

Collaborate with procurement departments across DMT and affiliates to manage procurement risks, including identifying risks and developing mitigation plans
Organizational Responsibilities

Maintain awareness and compliance with department policies, procedures, and procurement governance standards

Participate in scheduled audits of procurement planning practices and reporting mechanisms
Management Reporting

Assist in preparing regular strategy and planning reports

Identify and escalate non-compliance issues or gaps observed during report development or plan implementation
Qualifications and Experience
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Commerce, or a related discipline
Experience: Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 5–10 years of experience in a similar functional role
