CollectiveSpend is a leading procurement services provider, and we are partnering with a specialized data management firm to deliver a comprehensive Material Master Data Governance project for a major utility company in the UAE. We are seeking a highly experienced freelance SAP S/4HANA Material Master Consultant to join our team as the on-site technical expert and liaison.
Role Summary
As the Freelance SAP S/4HANA Material Master Consultant, you will be the local, on-the-ground technical expert, bridging the gap between our remote technical delivery team and the client’s business and IT stakeholders. You will be responsible for providing hands-on SAP S/4HANA expertise, facilitating client workshops, and ensuring the successful implementation of the material master data governance solution.
Key Responsibilities
On-site Client Engagement: Act as the primary technical point of contact for the client, attending face-to-face meetings, and leading on-site workshops and stakeholder interviews.
SAP S/4HANA Configuration: Perform hands-on configuration of the SAP S/4HANA Material Master module, including material types, number ranges, field selections, and validation rules.
Data Governance Implementation: Support the implementation of the data governance framework by configuring SAP workflows, data quality monitoring tools, and authorization concepts.
Technical Liaison: Facilitate clear and effective communication between the client and our remote technical team, translating business requirements into technical specifications and vice versa.
Data Migration Support: Provide expertise in SAP data migration tools (LSMW, LTMC) and support the data cleansing, enrichment, and loading activities.
Training and Knowledge Transfer: Support user training and contribute to the creation of technical documentation and knowledge transfer materials.
Required Expertise and Experience
SAP S/4HANA Expertise: Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA, with a deep specialization in the Material Master (MM) module.
Master Data Governance (MDG): Proven experience with the implementation and configuration of SAP Master Data Governance (MDG) for materials.
Data Management: Strong experience in data quality, data cleansing, and data migration projects within SAP environments.
Client-Facing Skills: Excellent communication, presentation, and workshop facilitation skills, with the ability to engage effectively with senior stakeholders.
Local Presence: Must be based in the UAE and available for regular on-site meetings with the client.
Language Skills: Fluent in English (both written and spoken). Arabic language skills are a significant advantage.
Desired Skills
• Experience working in the utilities sector or with government entities in the UAE.
• Familiarity with remote collaboration tools and experience working in a hybrid (on-site/remote) delivery model.
• SAP certifications in MM or MDG are highly desirable.
Time Commitment
This is a freelance contract for the duration of the project (16-20 weeks), with an estimated time commitment of 3-5 days per week, varying based on the project phase. The role requires a significant on-site presence at the client’s offices in the UAE.
